Within the old Dunbar school lies, the Dunbar barber academy a place were not allow are haircuts given old, but were value lessons are learned. Chris Gill and Martio Harris are not only instructors at the barber academy but are also some of the areas most active community members.
For my final project, I will not only show the change that has happened with the Dunbar school but these two men’s role as teachers and community leaders. Showing both the importance of the barber school and how it’s teachers lend a helping hand in the community is a great idea for a final project, as it encompasses two narratives. Two men who on the outside teacher at a barber academy yet below the surface a some of the communities most active members.
For this assignment I plan on interview obviously Harris and Gill, as well as some of their co-workers and trainees at the academy. With some further research as the organizations these two men help charity wise, I will also interview those people belonging to the organizations.
